What stories?
Stories about ourselves that we love sharing. Stories we may have never shared because of shame, sadness, despair. Stories just waiting for a space that will hold them and you safely, allowing you to express who you are being right now, how you got here, and who you are becoming in the process. Why women's stories? Because women for too long have struggled to be heard in a world constructed by the patriarchy. Women are wanting to speak their truth and make a difference in a new world; one that respects all people and celebrates each individual's brilliance, vision and voice. |
Who is this for?
These story gatherings are for women from all walks of life. To hear yourself speak may feel confronting, yet, liberation comes when your heart opens and you courageously use your voice.
These stories are for other women. To witness others speak their stories, choosing to re-frame and re-language that which no longer serves them, connects us, strengthens us, inspires us and provides us with an opportunity to celebrate our sisters’ liberation.
These stories are for our re-culturing of humanity. Elizabeth Lesser shares that for too long we’ve “blindly clung to stories passed down to us through the centuries about women and men, power and war, sex and love, and the values by which we live. Stories written mostly by men and which we’ve now outgrown.”
Powerful women like Elizabeth Lesser invite and encourage women to become the story tellers so our human story changes.
These stories are for expanding consciousness. As we evolve, so too does our collective wisdom and our ability to use power without force, create that which helps and heals rather than damages our earth and the beings that inhabit this space, allows us to transcend the old archaic structures and create collaborative ways of being and working that are so needed to pass this fragile world to our children and grandchildren with hope for their healthy future.
